Bird Festival

Mercer is recognized as a Bird City by Bird City Wisconsin. This means our community offers programs that educate residents and visitors about birds and sound conservation practices.

The Mercer Bird Festival is part of our Bird City affiliation and is open to birders and nature lovers of all levels and ages.


Tuesday, June 4th, 6:30-7:30pm
Birding 101

Join Discovery Center Naturalist Annie McDonnell for a free presentation on “Birding 101”  at the Mercer Community Center. Annie will cover the birding basics from species identification to local birding hot spots, and birding gear.

This program is sponsored by the Mercer Library and the Mercer Area Chamber of Commerce.
